Episode 50 - Popeye (1980) [w/ Logan Crow]

Episode 50 - Popeye (1980) [w/ Logan Crow]

March 27, 2018

Celebrating the 50th Episode of the show Jonathan and Jarrett welcome the Owner and Executive Director of The Frida Cinema, Logan Crow. This week our guest has picked one the most insane and surreal films of Robin William's career: Popeye (1980) directed by Robert Altman and starring Robin WilliamsShelley Duvall, and Ray Walston. Just WHO is this film for? Why are the songs so repetitive and the coreography almost non-existant? How is there a Popeye film out there where Popeye doesn't like spinach? Does the town of Sweethaven actually exist? (Hint it does! Check it out on our Instagram!)

Find out the answer to these questions and so much more on this weeks episode.

Episode 49 - Maximum Overdrive (1986)

Episode 49 - Maximum Overdrive (1986)

March 20, 2018

Machines take over the world and Jonathan and Jarrett call MAXIMUM bullshit with today's movie Maximum Overdrive (1986) writen and directed by Stephen King, and starring  Emilio Estevez Pat Hingle, and  Yeardley Smith. What are the rules to what comes to life, is it electrical, mechanical or just plain whatever the scene wants? How much coke is too much coke? (And we're not talking about the killer soda machine) What caused the disaster? The commet Rhea-M, a UFO, the Russians, or Steven King himself? Find out the answer to these questions and so much more on this weeks episode.

St. Patrick’s Day 2018 - Episode 48 - Leprechaun (1993)

March 13, 2018

This is your lucky day while it's Jarett and Jonathan's unlucky day as they take on the irish legend turned horror icon Leprechaun (1993).  The movie stars  Warwick Davis,  Jennifer Aniston, and  Ken Olandt. How many additional powers does a leprechaun posses that we're not aware of? How much business can a company get with a name such as 3 Guys That Paint? Just exactly what was the story behind the infamous Lucky Charms line? Find out the answer to these questions and so much more on this weeks episode.

Episode 47 - Lloyd Kaufman interviews Bombs Away aka Return to Return to Nuke Em High aka Volume 2 (2017)

March 8, 2018

The Spill-ogy of Troma Entertainment's Class of Nuke 'Em High Series concludes, but not in anyway we saw coming. As we sit down with Director and President of Troma Entertainment Lloyd Kaufman, we try to dish the dirt on his newest film Return to Return to Nuke 'Em High Aka Vol. 2 (2017) starring Asta ParedesCatherine Corcoran, and Vito Trigo. What wound up happening instead became an absolitely wonderful TROMATIC experience as Lloyd does what he does best, put on one hell of a show and directed Jonathan and Jarrett into a completely unique interview that is just as entertaining, full of fun and laughs, and independantly off the rails and reels as Troma's 40 years of history! No Volume 2 Spoilers Allowed so This is NOT your normal Bombs show, and we couldn't be happier for the way it turned out. We hope you all enjoy this truly special look into the life and career of the man who has touched so many in the movie business and independent creators alike, (and not in the Weinstein way)!
